This is the straight blade non-swivel model from the Double Medalist Competition Line. These shears are EXTREMELY smooth and comfortable. They have blades that are enhanced with added cobalt as well as nylon glide strips at the back of the blade. The steel is VG-10, known all over the world as the finest Japanese steel available, meaning your edge will be scary sharp and it will last a really long time. Where normally there is a simple tension assembly with a screw, a bolt, and a washer, the Medalist line has a ball bearing system which adds to the smooth “gliding” feeling when cutting.
