This is a fully sterile Delivery Pack, including all the instruments to help deliver your puppies/kittens safely. All instruments are manufactured from medical grade surgical stainless steel. Contents are wrapped in a sterile field and supplied in an easy to open, sterile pack. The instruments state single use, but as they are stainless steel they can be re-sterilised and re-used. Contents- 1 x Paper Towel 1 x Dish Kidney 800ml – keeping instuments together, then used as a wash bowl to clean down mum after whelping finishhed. 1 x Scissors U.S.A. Pattern Umbilical Straight 10cm -Cutting the umbilical cord should you need to 1 x Scissors Mayo Straight 17cm 2 x Forceps Spencer Wells Straight 18cm – Emergency clamping of the cord should if required (usually two forceps are required with a retained placenta one set clamped on cord close to mum to stop placenta going back up and another set to clamp a little over 1 cm from puppy/kitten tummy to then cut cord just after the forceps) 2 x Umbilical Cord Clamps – Clamping the cord if you get a bleeder with another puppy/kitten on route (much quicker and easier than trying to tie them off)We have used the cord clamps many times on our own puppies and we remove the clamp as soon as we feel cord has stopped bleeding which is usually within the hour -We don’t put with mum while the clamp is on so she does not pull at the clamp while cleaning. If you are unsure whether the cord has stopped bleeding but you have time you can tie the cord just below clamp then remove. 1 x Sterile Field
