⚫2 x Sterile Individually sealed Gloves (LARGE) – should be worn at all times when giving assistance to the mother to prevent infection. made from a Copolymer material (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Film). They allow good sensitivity.The gloves are presented on backing paper for ease of donning.Sterile Single Use gloves Ideal choice who are allergic to Latex. ⚫1 x 250g Beaphar Lactol Puppy Milk or 200g Beaphar Kitty Milk – This can be fed as a feed suppliment or top up for puppies/kittens, mums love this too. ⚫1 x Feeding bottle 50ml, teats and cleaning brush ⚫1 x Stethoscope – This is a useful tool to listen to puppies heart beats later on in pregnancy, some breeders have skill and can even tell the sex of puppies. Also used to detect a heart beat on lifeless newborn puppies/kittens.⚫ 2 x 5g Gel lubricating jelly – Always use lubrication when making an inspection / taking temperature and help in removing ‘difficult’ puppies/kittens. ⚫4 x Skin Cleaning wipes⚫Johnsons calcium tablets 40 – Johnson’s Calcium and Vitamin D Tablets are a great supplement for animals which may be suffering from a calcium deficiency after whelping or need a boost if Vitamin D. CALCIUM SUPPLEMENT should ONLY be given AFTER whelping/contractions have begun. Warning: Do not administer to pregnant females without veterinary supervision. We find these useful if our girl has a retained placenta but puppy has been born with cord attached to plancenta so we clamped close to mum so we can cut the cord and to stop placenta going further inside. ⚫1 x Kidney dish – keeping all of your instruments together and to hand while helping to deliver and/or putting placenta’s in after each puppy/Kitten even useful to use to clean down mum afterwards then throw away! ⚫1 x Digital Thermometor with storage case – 12 – 24 hours prior to giving birth, the mother’s temperature may drop. (We dont leave puppy with mum while clamp is on we put on heatmat to help dry cord, so mum cant pull at it) ⚫1 x Sterile Bulb aspirator – Suck out fluid from puppy/kittens nose and throat.⚫ 1 x 10ml Iodine – Used on cords straight after birth to prevent an infection ⚫28 x Tyvek Bands (Paper like Material) – Easily identify puppies/kittens, Width can be cut in half to make two bands for smaller/younger breeds or even joined together for larger/older puppies.
